A Writer from Mexico
CARLOS FUENTES, novelist and playwright, lived and studied in countries around the world as the son of a career diplomat and Mexican ambassador to Holland, Panama, Portugal, and Italy. He was educated at the University of Mexico and at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva.
