Towards Humanism in Psychiatry
JONATHAN GLOVER is a professor of ethics and director of the Centre of Medical Law and Ethics at King’s College London. He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and was a fellow in philosophy at New College, Oxford, for thirty years. He chaired a European Commission Working Party on Assisted Reproduction, authored a report for the OfŠce of Technology Assessment of the United State Congress on the social and ethical implications of the Human Genome Project, and was joint director of a project on Women, Equality, and Reproductive Technology in the Third World at the United Nations University.
