Margaret H. Marshall is Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. A native of South Africa, she graduated from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, received a master’s degree from Harvard, and her J.D. from Yale Law School. She was an associate and later a partner in the Boston law firm of Csaplar and Bok, and a partner in the firm of Choate, Hall, and Stewart.
