LAURENCE H. TRIBE is the Ralph S. Tyler, Jr., Professor of Constitutional Law at Harvard Law School, where he has been a faculty member since 1968. Born in China of Russian Jewish parents, Tribe came to the United States at the age of five, attended public schools in San Francisco, and entered Harvard College in 1958 at the age of sixteen.
