Justice Is Conflict: The Soul and the City
STUART HAMPSHIRE pursued his education at Oxford, where he was a history scholar at Balliol College. In 1936 he was elected Fellow, by examination, of All Souls College, Oxford. Following service during the Second World War and then two years in the British Foreign Office, he returned to academia in 1947 as a tutor in philosophy at University College, London, and later at New College, Oxford, and as a research fellow at All Souls College.
