CAROL GILLIGAN holds a Ph.D. degree from Harvard University, where she is now a professor in human development and psychology at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. In addition to an A.B. from Swarthmore College and an M.A. from Radcliffe College, she also holds honorary degrees from Regis, Swarthmore and Haverford colleges. She has held a Mellon Fellowship from the Wellesley Center for Research on Women as well as the Blanche, Edith and Irving Laurie New Jersey Chair in Women’s Studies at Rutgers University.
