Avishai Margalit is Schulman Professor of Philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was educated at the Hebrew University, where he received his M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy. He has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University and at the Russell Sage Foundation; a visiting fellow at Wolfson College and St. Antony’s College, Oxford, and at the Max Planck Institute; a Rockefeller Fellow at the Center for Human Values, Princeton University; and a visiting professor at the Free University of Berlin.
