How Better to Register the Agency of Things
Bruno Latour, born in 1947 in Beaune, Burgundy, from a winegrower family, was trained first as a philosopher and then as an anthropologist. From 1982 to 2006, he was a professor at the Centre de Sociologie de l’Innovation at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines in Paris and, for various periods, a visiting professor at the University of California at San Diego, at the London School of Economics (LSE), and in the History of Science Department at Harvard University. He is now a professor at Sciences Po Paris, after fi ve years (2007–12) as the vice president for research. As of October 2013, he has been a part-time Centennial Professor at the LSE.
