Danielle Allen is the director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics and a professor of government at Harvard. When she gave the Tanner Lectures at Stanford, she was UPS Foundation Professor of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. She is a political theorist who has published broadly in democratic theory, political sociology, and the history of political thought.
