Robert Pinsky is a poet and professor of English at Boston University. He was educated at Rutgers and at Stanford, where he received his Ph.D. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Letters and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Shelley Memorial Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in Poetry, and the Lenore Marshall Prize
