Mark Higgs Matheson
Mark Matheson has taught English and Honors courses at the University of Utah for 34 years. He received his doctorate in English from the University of Oxford, and he has published articles on Shakespeare in scholarly journals. Mark has served as the director of the Tanner Lectures on Human Values since 2011.
Beth James
Beth James graduated from Boston University with honors in English and psychology. She moved to Utah in 2001 and began her career at the University of Utah. Beth has worked with the Tanner Lecture on Human Values program since 2003.
