LAURENCE H. TRIBE is Ralph S. Tyler Jr. Professor of Constitutional Law at Harvard University. He was educated at Harvard and received a J.D. from the Harvard Law School. He clerked for Justice Tobriner (California Supreme Court) and Justice Stewart (United States Supreme Court). He was named by Time Magazine as one of the nation’s ten most outstanding law professors, and in a survey of alumni of the Harvard Law School he was voted the most admired member, past or present, of the Harvard law faculty.
