The Status of Well-Being
THOMAS M. SCANLON JR. is an Alford Professor of Natural Religion, Moral Philosophy, and Civil Polity at Harvard, where he has taught since 1984. He received his B.A. from Princeton, studied at Brasenose College, Oxford, and received his Ph.D. from Harvard in 1968. He taught for many years at Princeton and was a founding editor of the journal Philosophy and Public Affairs.
