The Arms Race
JOAN ROBINSON was educated at Girton College, University of Cambridge, where she was a Gilchrist scholar. After a period in India she joined the Cambridge faculty in economics in 1931. In 1965 she was elected to a professorial fellowship at Newnham and made an honorary Fellow of Girton; she became an honorary Fellow of Newnham in 1971.
