Susan Neiman is the director of the Einstein Forum, an international interdisciplinary think tank in Berlin. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Neiman studied philosophy at Harvard under the great twentieth-century philosopher John Rawls and at the Freie Universität in Berlin, before teaching philosophy at Yale and Tel Aviv Universities. She is the author of Slow Fire: Jewish Notes om Berlin (1992), e Unity of Reason: Rereading Kant (1994), Evil in Modern Thought (2002), and Moral Clarity: A Guide for Grown-Up Idealists (2008).
