Morality and Consequences
JONATHAN BENNETT was born in New Zealand in 1930 and educated there and at the University of Oxford. He taught at Cambridge for twelve years, for eleven more in Canada, and since 1979 has been Professor of Philosophy at Syracuse University. He has written a good many articles- including, on moral philosophy, ‘Whatever the Consequences’ and ‘The Conscience of Huckleberry Finn’ -two books on the philosophy of mind and language, and three on early modern philosophy.
